New pest control poison revealed

A new toxin for the control of mammalian pests, thought to be the first registered in the world for at least 20 years, has been developed in New Zealand.

The new poison, called PAPP, will be used primarily to target stoats and feral cats, as it does not have an impact on possums and rats.
